Meet James Harper – Director & Retirement Planning Specialist
James Harper founded Oak Advisory after recognising how hard it was to find truly independent financial advice in Perth – especially for those planning retirement.
Too often, advisers try to cover every area of financial advice. James took a different path. He firmly believes that, like medicine and law, financial advisers should focus on their own specialist areas.
That’s why he’s chosen to focus exclusively on retirement planning – helping people prepare, protect, and thrive in retirement.
James is one of the few advisers in Australia who holds both:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation
- Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification
He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, as well as a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. James was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for outstanding results in his CPA studies.
